Bridgewater police chief Glen Woolley says counterfeit $50 notes have been passed to a number of shops in the Glenorchy area during the past two weeks.
"With the amount of shopping that's going to happen between now and Christmas both customers and storekeepers need to be vigilant about making sure they are being handed real $50 notes," he said.

Looks like I will now have to do my Christmas shopping in a different suburb.
