Frugal Friday - baked bean crock pot casserole

Always a great party recipe. Turn up with this at a friend's place and they will be so impressed they won't know what to say.

Baked Bean Crock Pot Casserole

Ingredients:
Two large cans of baked beans.
Half a cup of BBQ sauce
A quarter of a cup of brown sugar

Directions:
Mix everything in you crock pot and cook on low heat for three hours.

Even better - turn up three hours early at your friends place and use their ingredients (call ahead to make sure they go shopping and get them) and their electricity to cook with. Drink their beer while you are waiting.

You didn't tell us the cost. How do I know if this is economical?

Wouldn't it be cheaper to use 2 small cans?

I usually just turn up with an empty crockpot (lid on) then get all confused and say I must have brought the wrong one and then burst into tears. Not only are people very forgiving but they often bring out the best brandy from under the video cupboard. After a while your friends get used to it and just starting cooking extra.

Dear Mr Whitey,

I write on behalf of my clients, Ms Foodkitty obo Hobart Food Bloggers in general.

Cease and desist providing useful and interesting food recipes forthwith.

My clients will take no further action provided you confine yourself to your usual domain of quasi-humerous ponderings on frugality.
