Visiting US Warship
Interesting to see a change in the way The Mercury reports the visit:
From what I can remember, previous ships always "injected" money into the local economy, now they are merely "pumping" it.
THE visit of US warship USS Tarawa will pump more than $6 million into the local economy, the US Government says.
The 250m amphibious assault ship will bring 3000 sailors and marines to Hobart
tomorrow morning.

Are they just trying to be diplomatic, and avoid saying 'rogering'? We all know it's towards that that most of their spending tends.
Pumping, rogering - it all amounts to the same, eh?
Those mainland sex workers The Mercury reported as coming to town especially, will be happy!
It's back to "injecting" in both the Saturday and Sunday papers.
It looks like the Editor has made sure the "pumping" journo has cleaned up their act.
