Vale Fitzies Cafe
I know I am a fair bit behind the times, but I was very sad to see that the wonderful and wonderfully priced Fitzies Cafe is no more.
I have nothing but fond memories of many business lunches and get togethers with family and friends. There was nothing better than tucking into a discount frog-in-a-pond while listening to a piano player. The free music was my favourite.
So, time to find a new, but still cheap, cafe.

Good to have you back. Without your regular tips on being frugal, I found I was spending $10,000 a week on wining, dining and luxury.
Hey Whitey - bearing in mind I know you're a paid-up member of the Radar Fan Club, did you see the Letter to the Editor on Sunday last (4th May) from one Bronwyn Williams of South Hobart. She explained she and her family are newcomers to Hobart from Sydney as of three months ago.
Generally they are loving living in Hobart, but she had a few questions about oddities of Hobart life which intrigue them, amongst them, to quote her, "..the person who hosts the local business ads on the TV and the morning radio host who does his own promos looking like radio is most definitely his medium".
Any comments about this?
I must admit that the most recent Radar production has me shaking my head in disbelief (and horror), and I've been watching Radar for about 20 years now, and thought I was well immune to his oddities by now!
Who do you think you are lonie polony, the Premier????
Anon - Lonie is a mum of 3, so I imagine she'd be pretty accurate in that expense estimation - but her description of "wining, dining and luxury" might be pushing it a bit!
Yes, I did see the letter to the editor. I was surprised that it wasn't the ability to see Radar on TV that prompted the move to Hobart.
Just imagine what would happen if Radar expanded his empire to Melbourne and Sydney - people would have no incentive to move here.
Lonie Polony,
I am looking forward to receiving the 20% management fee for all the money I save you.
And 10% of the baby bonus - you just keep going back for more!
