Wooden Boat Festival
Looks like there were a few other people at the Wooden Boat Festival with the same idea as me.
I think their figure of 8,000 includes a lot of double counting. I know that me, the missus and the three kids went there twice a day over three days. That way I could save $300. The more I went (and said we were off to Mures) the more I saved.
What is needed is an honesty box instead. The one at the Salmon Ponds works really well.

Oh, how much was in the Salmon Ponds one last time?
Unfortunately I didn't have any spare cash for the honesty box - so $0.
I suggest they budget for a fence that doesn't encircle a popular eating establishment next time.
